Advanced and Complex Medical Emergencies

Advanced and Complex Medical Emergencies

Course at a glance

ACME stimulates and challenges the experienced physician or senior registrar/senior CMO practicing Emergency Medicine. You will expand and practice your understanding of human factors and team behaviours and their impact on the quality of team-based clinical care, practice team resuscitation
skills in immersive simulations, refresh advanced procedures in airway and vascular access and receive tips, techniques and support from your colleagues in small group discussions and debriefing. Join an experienced simulation faculty of Emergency Physicians which for April includes:

  • Ian Summers
  • Anna Korin
  • Neil Cunningham

The course encourages discussion and the sharing of information, and there is no assessment of participants.

Who can attend?

The course is designed for the following groups:

Medical Practitioners, including Fellows of the College of Emergency Medicine, Advanced Trainees (in their final two years of training), Emergency Medicine Certificate holders, Senior and Chief Medical Officers working in emergency departments as the most senior clinician overnight.
