International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day

Please join us on Wednesday, 8 March at 2pm online to celebrate International Women’s Day!

Dr. Lee Martin, a Senior Lecturer from The University of Sydney Business School, will join us to discuss the significance of intersectionality and why it’s essential to embrace equity to forge an inclusive world.

Intersectionality is a concept that refers to the interconnected nature of social identities, such as race, gender, class, sexual orientation, and ability, and how they overlap and intersect with each other. It recognises that individuals can face multiple forms of discrimination or disadvantage and that these different aspects of their identity cannot be separated from one another.

Following the discussion, an interactive Q&A session will be held with a panel comprising members from various departments of Monash Health.
