We’re excited to share with you the newly released designs for the Cranbourne Community Hospital.
Located at the Casey Complex on Berwick – Cranbourne Road, the Cranbourne Community Hospital’s primary catchment is the Cranbourne and Koo Wee Rup districts, which are forecast to grow by 127% by 2036.
Main works construction will commence in the new year, on track for a late-2024 completion.
“The hospital is almost double in size of what we have today,” says Julia Oxley, General Manager, Community. “It’s around 9200 square metres, built over 3 stories, and carefully planned to create a safe and welcoming environment.”
The hospital will help take the pressure off major hospitals such as Casey Hospital. This will enable the major hospitals to focus on critical care, complex surgeries, emergencies and trauma.
Cranbourne Community Hospital will provide excellent care locally and will also provide world class training in ophthalmology.
The interior, exterior and landscape designs have been informed by engagement with the Bunurong Land Council and recognise the natural history of the area.
You can find out more about the new designs here and you can view a presentation from this week’s employee forum here.
