Do you have health and nutrition goals in your new year resolutions?
This is your reminder that food and mood go hand-in-hand. It’s important to consider how your diet is affecting your mental and physical health.
A diet that’s low in processed sugar and high in wholefoods can lead to better health outcomes, including lower rates of anxiety and depression. One of the simplest ways to support a vibrant state of mind is to “eat the rainbow”. This means including vegetables of a variety of colours into what you eat.
If you need the extra kick into building healthy eating habits, check out the Healthy eating video from the Resilience Project.
Available for all our employees, the Digital Wellbeing Series by the Resilience Project includes bite-sized videos to help you build resilience and happiness through simple and practical actions. You can find ten topical videos including mindfulness, emotional literacy, social connection and of course, healthy eating.
To make new lasting habits, it is important to start small – add in one change at a time and aim to to become consistent. You can access all ten topics of the Digital Wellbeing Series right now and complete the modules at your own time and pace.
