This year’s influenza season is forecast to coincide with the peak of the coronavirus pandemic. Meaning it is now more important than ever to ensure you receive your free influenza vaccine.
Receiving the influenza vaccine is the most important way we can protect ourselves, our patients, our colleagues, our families and our health care system.
All Monash Health staff need to be vaccinated or complete the declaration form.
It is your responsibility to ensure you are vaccinated or have completed the declaration form by 1 May for all aged care health care workers or by 1 August for all other health care workers.
Vaccinations are available at Dandenong Hospital, Monash Medical Centre, Casey Hospital, Moorabbin, Thomas Street, Kingston, Cranbourne and Pakenham at various times over the next few weeks. The schedule is available here and on the intranet.
As in previous years, there will be pop-up immunisation stations, mobile rounds and after-hours rounds. This year will see multiple single immuniser stations rather than the extended corridor format. It will require some mindfulness to ensure we practice social distancing in the queues.
You don’t need to book, you can simply turn up with your employee ID. We also recommend you complete the consent form prior to turning up or alternatively please bring a pen as you will be required to sign a form.
If employees don’t want to receive the free vaccination here at Monash Health as they are receiving it elsewhere, then they must complete the declaration form to count towards our completion rates.
Let’s work together to prevent infection and achieve a 100 per cent completion across our organisation.
