With warmer weather on the way, and to create additional break spaces for you to enjoy, we’re giving some of our outdoor areas a makeover.
Over the coming weeks and months, we will be refurbishing and revamping some of our outdoor spaces across our sites. We appreciate the importance of access to meal and break areas while working on-site, and these additional spaces will allow for safe, easy access, and ensure appropriate social distancing.
Recently, we rolled out a series of new break spaces in the form of marquees. In addition, we will be commencing works on the following outdoor areas:
Level 1, Courtyard
- Pruning of trees
- Planting of new landscaping of low-level shrubs and flowering plants
- Cleaning of courtyard space and existing tables/chairs
- Cleaning of courtyard spaces and outdoor areas with some additional tables and chairs provided
Level 2, outdoor space near SIM Centre
- Repairs and cleaning
Level 2, outdoor space near old HOD building
- New pergola structure with tables and chairs
- Cleaning and tree pruning
During the warmer months of the year, we encourage you to use these outdoor areas for meals and breaks.
As restrictions ease and we move toward COVID normal, we are also proposing upgrade works for some of our café spaces (stay tuned for more details).
As we roll these changes out, please remember that personal and hand hygiene etiquette and physical distancing must be observed at all times. These basic principles remain the most important safety precautions across all shared or non-shared workspaces.
Checking in every single time is vital for record-keeping to support efficient contact tracing if required and ensuring safe capacity is maintained in each shared space.
Thank you for adhering to the necessary precautions in shared spaces. We appreciate the adjustments you are all making and your vigilance to keep one another safe.
