Wellbeing wins at Dandenong ED

Congratulations to the Emergency Department at Dandenong Hospital: 2020 ACEM ED Wellbeing Group Award winners!

The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) recognized Dandenong ED in their annual Wellbeing Awards via a video ceremony on Friday 18 December.

The Quality and Safety team at Dandenong ED have had a big 2020, showing extraordinary dedication to the wellbeing of the department, and implementing a slew of initiatives over the last 12 months from cookbooks to compliment boards. The award is recognition of a great effort by the Wellness Team, led by Detsy Holten, Jennifer Jackman, San Khin Moe, Jeck Lau, Matt Woronczak and supported by the Dandenong Leadership Team.

“Wellbeing is not a new concept but in 2020 it has become even more important,” says Dr. Frank Soden, Director of Dandenong Emergency Department. “Winning this award demonstrates what an amazing job our team has done supporting us during this time.”

Co-winning with Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, the team at Dandenong ED spared no effort with activities encouraging employees to connect (Who’s Your Mate? program), stay active (dance challenges), get creative (paper plane contests) or simply build regular highlights in the week (Tim Tam Tuesdays).
