The Victorian public sector’s annual employee opinion survey, People Matter, will return next month, with all Monash Health employees invited to participate.
We want to hear from you and your colleagues about how we can make Monash Health a great place to work.
The independent People Matter survey provides a safe and anonymous way for you to tell us what you think and experience in the workplace. It represents a strong commitment to listening to our employees and helps us understand what we’re doing well and what we need to improve.
It will give you the opportunity to have a say on things like job satisfaction, career development, wellbeing, and diversity and inclusion.
Due to COVID-19 the full People Matter survey did not run in 2020. With so much change in the last two years, when the survey opens on Monday 7 June, we’re very keen to have a strong response – take some time to provide your feedback and tell us how you are feeling.
In the coming weeks we’ll be bringing you a series of stories which highlight our response to the previous survey findings.
In the 2019 People Matter survey, you told us that Psychological Wellbeing was an important area for you. We responded by providing significantly improved and increased levels of service and support by teaming up with the Black Dog Institute.
Thanks to your feedback Monash Health now has two mental health training programs online, which you can access via Latte.
These are not just a once-off training, you can also go back and utilise the resources at other times if you feel the need. Each of the modules consists of an eLearning package, podcast and supporting resources that address key focus areas of mental health and wellbeing, such as:
- prevalence
- signs and symptoms
- looking after your team
- self-care and wellbeing.
In March 2020 we introduced the free and confidential Call a Psychologist program to provide additional psychological first aid and support for employees throughout COVID-19 pandemic. The service remains open and provides the opportunity for individuals and teams to pause, receive emotional support.
Stay tuned to the intranet for updates on People Matter – remember, People Matter is your chance to have your say, help inform us and make long-term decisions for the organisation.
