This week we are celebrating kindness and learning about how we can continue to demonstrate kindness in our work every day. Through the Gathering of Kindness, you have the opportunity to hear from experts and our executives about kindness in healthcare. Join us on Thursday 12 November for a special edition of the employee forum and don’t forget to register for sessions on World Kindness Day, Friday 13 November!
Here are a few ways you can spread kindness during the week:
Selfie time! – Show us how kindness makes you feel
Kindness is behaviour marked by acts of generosity, consideration or concern for others without the expectation of praise or reward. We would love to hear what kindness looks like to you. It could be a small gesture from a colleague or an outpouring of kindness from a patient. Here’s what to do:
- Download the poster
- write down an instance or two where you experienced or expressed kindness at work
- hold up the poster and take a selfie!
- email your selfie to patientexperience@moanshhealth.org
Spread some kindness – virtually!
Have you been the recipient of some kindness recently? Or do you want to show some kindness? Send an e-card!
- Download the e-card template
- personalise your message
- click File > Save as > Export as pdf
- Email to your recipient!
The calendar of kindness
The Kindness Calendar features an act of kindness for each day of December. There are some great suggestions about how you can demonstrate kindness to your colleagues, friends, family, strangers and yourself!
