Update on Perth metropolitan area and Peel region: Victorian travel permit zone changes
The Victorian Chief Health Officer has declared that the Perth metropolitan area and Peel region in Western Australia have become red zones (other than for transit) under Victoria’s ‘traffic light’ travel permit system from 2:01am Victorian time on Saturday 24 April.
Anyone in these areas must follow the local public health directions.
Monash Health employees who leave the Perth metropolitan area and Peel region in Western Australia to enter Victoria while red zones are in effect must:
- Quarantine at home for 14 days.
- Do not attend work.
- Contact your manager.
- Contact the COVID-19 Employee Hotline on 959 45815 (7am to 7pm, seven days a week).
Additionally, if you are currently in Victoria and have been in the Perth metropolitan area and Peel region (other than for transit) between 17 April and 23 April inclusive, you must:
- Get a test within 72 hours.
- Stay isolated until you receive a negative result.
- Do not attend work.
- Contact your manager.
- Contact the COVID-19 Employee Hotline on 959 45815 (7am to 7pm, seven days a week).

Victoria has published exposure sites linked to the COVID-19 case announced yesterday:
- Tier 1: If you were on Qantas Flight 778 from Perth to Melbourne on Wednesday 21 April, you must isolate, get tested, and stay isolated for 14 days regardless of your test result.
- Tier 2: If you were at Melbourne Airport Terminal One between 7pm and 7:30pm on Wednesday 21 April, you must isolate, get tested, and stay isolated until you receive a negative result.

Anyone who has recently returned from Western Australia should ensure they also monitor the list of Western Australia exposure sites: https://www.healthywa.wa.gov.au/Articles/A_E/Coronavirus/Locations-visited-by-confirmed-cases
If you are currently in Victoria and have been to any of these exposure sites, immediately contact the Department of Health at 1300 651 160. Please do not attend work, and please do contact both your manager and the COVID-19 Employee Hotline on 959 45815.
