We are actively, imaginatively and flexibly working towards reducing and managing risk throughout Monash Health. To support this, we have introduced a new OHS dashboard.
The OHS Safety Metrics are now live on the BI Dashboard and all Managers can view their local work area performance to key measures.

The OHS Safety Metrics will go live to Ward Scorecards in September.
The Dashboard also contains a definitions tab to help you clarify the key performance metrics in relation to our safety improvement targets.

The August Safety Communications Pack describes these four important metrics, why we have them, and the steps you and your team can take to improve these.
Viewing your work area targets and performance status
You can now view the targets for your work area. These provide the current performance status and are calculated by using the previous year’s results and the ‘actuals’ at the time of review.
Once your team achieves a metric you will see the performance status change from red to green, indicating that a metric has been met. It also provides a visual to focus on certain aspects of safety performance in the same way you would with both clinical and non-clinical performance targets.
How do I improve my safety metrics using the OHS Quick Reference Guide?
You can access the new “OHS How to influence OHS metrics and improve safety performance Quick Reference Guide”. It contains hints and tips on how you can review, influence and improve safety at work for your colleagues.
