Answering your FAQs about Monash Health’s new Financial Wellbeing Program by Money101

Last Thursday at the employee wellbeing forum, we heard from Andrew MacNiven, Communications and Education Manager from Money101 who presented on Monash Health’s new Financial Wellbeing Program

In his presentation, Andrew provided an overview of the program, demonstrated how to navigate the modules and answered some of the more frequently asked questions employees had, captured below.

Where can I access the program?

The program can be accessed through the Money101 Monash Health Hub. For more information about the program, further log in details and resources, please visit the Your Financial Health webpage on the Monash Health COVID-19 employee website

You can also access the program by scanning the QR code below.

Can my family members access the program, is it free to use and how long is it available for?

Yes, the program is available to all Monash Health employees, volunteers and their families. The program is free to access and is available until 31 August 2022. The modules can also be viewed as many times as you like.

Is my personal data collected by the program, and can my manager see what modules I look at?

No, your personal data is not collected by the program. The program is accessed via a shared Monash Health organisation-wide log in. The program is only aware that a user has accessed the program, but it is de-identified and there are no personal details collected or stored.

Your manager or any other individual will not be able to see what modules you have accessed.

How do I know if the program is right for me and where do I start?

You can optimise your learning by undertaking the modules that best meet your needs, at a pace that you prefer.

The program includes 110 modules, categorised into 7 key life areas, designed to assist you in becoming more informed, confident, and productive in all money matters.

If you are not sure where to start, Money101 suggest taking the financial wellbeing quiz, a tool for new users to establish their financial health baseline. Based on your survey results you’ll be provided with recommendations on the modules and resources that best suit your needs.

The survey is optional, anonymous, and consists of only 10 questions.

When you access the program, the link to the quiz will also be available in a pop-up window.

Can the program offer me individual financial advice?

The program does not provide personal financial advice. The program is designed to provide you with financial education to enable you to make better financial decisions.

If you are having financial troubles, consider exploring the relevant modules to your situation. From here, you can make an informed decision and know what questions to ask before you seek assistance from a qualified industry professional.
