Make every step count – Walking Challenge 2022

The 2022 Monash Health Walking Challenge is fast approaching, and this year it’s FREE for all our employees, their families, and friends!

Prizes are one incentive, but the Walking Challenge is also a great opportunity to introduce a new habit into your routine, work in a team to achieve daily goals, and participate in some healthy competition.

The four-week Challenge, beginning Sunday 6 March, offers many benefits, from connecting with your colleagues outside of work, to enjoying some fresh air, and giving you an outlet to clear your head, all while staying active.

In 2021, our top 5 teams achieved an average of 2,800,000 steps each, which is approximately 2100km overall or the straight-line distance between Perth and Adelaide!

We would like to congratulate all participants from the 2021 Walking Challenge on their incredible effort and encourage all employees to get involved this year. You can start with as little as 15 to 30 minutes of walking a day and you’ll be supported by your team to achieve your daily goals.

Registrations opening soon

For now, all you need to do is talk to your colleagues, family, and friends about a team of four, start brainstorming fun team names and stay tuned for details on how to register!

This initiative is supported by the Victorian Government’s Department of Health Be Well Be Safe Program, providing increased health and wellbeing support for healthcare workers during COVID-19.
