‘It’s all about you’ this Women’s Health Week

Women’s Health Week (5 – 11 September) is an opportunity to remind all women and girls to make good health, both in mind and body, a priority.

This year’s theme, ‘It’s all about you’, is encouraging all women to make healthier choices and improve your health by setting time aside for your health and wellbeing.

This may include ensuring you are up to date with your regular health checks, starting a new hobby to get active, or connecting with friends, family, or colleagues.

Remember, that focusing on yourself doesn’t mean you have to do it alone. For every area of your health and wellbeing, there is information, resources, support services, and activities you can get involved in to empower yourself to put your health first.

At Monash Health, we are leading the way in the delivery of women’s health, maternity and obstetric services, across our hospital sites and within the community. We also have a strong academic focus in these areas linking research to clinical innovation and our relentless pursuit of excellence.

We continue to prioritise all employees’ wellbeing and have a number of ongoing initiatives and resources available to support your health and wellbeing every day.

Women’s Health Week is hosted annually by Jean Hailes for Women’s Health, a national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the health of all women. During the week, there will be five main topics with new health information and resources released daily, including podcasts, videos, recipes, articles and more. The daily topics include:
