Register now for your chance to win!

Are you ready to go the extra mile?

The Walking Challenge is back for the second time this year, and it’s free to join! Registrations are open now, and the four-week challenge runs Monday 3 to Sunday 30 October.

This time, you’ll virtually experience the mystery of the Spice Trail as you amble through the mountains and deserts of Morocco, immerse yourself in the ancient history of Egypt, explore the fascinating four corners of India and discover the World Heritage listed sights of Sri Lanka.

To participate, you’ll need to join a team of four and work together to achieve your team’s weekly goals. There are great prizes on offer throughout the challenge, including for the top teams and the most improved teams, so stay tuned.

How to register your Team

  1. Gather your team of four people, including your colleagues, family members or friends. Please note, your team must have four people exactly.
  2. Decide on your team’s name and nominate your team captain
  3. Your team captain will need each team member’s full name, email address, and mobile number. Team captains register your team here.
  4. Once you register and throughout the Challenge, you’ll receive further information and updates from the Health at Work platform
  5. The challenge starts Monday 3 October and that is when you should start recording your daily steps and activity

Track your daily steps

During the Challenge, you will need to use a fitness tracker to count your steps, this may include a smart watch, pedometer or a step counting app on a smart phone. Don’t forget to submit your total steps into the Health at Work platform as you go.

If you need to purchase a fitness tracker, please contact Gaynor Henderson, Health and Wellbeing coordinator. The cost of a fitness tracker is $15.00 and will be processed through a payroll deduction.

On the Health at Work platform, there is also an exercise conversion chart, to help you calculate your steps for any activities where you may not wear your step counting device.
