We are pleased to welcome three new members to our Board of Directors, Professor Susan Elliott AM, Mr Ross McClymont, and Ms Fiona Pearse. All three bring a wealth of skills, experience and expertise to Monash Health, as well as valuable perspectives and ideas.
Professor Susan Elliott AM
Professor Susan Elliott AM is Provost and Senior Vice-President of Monash University. Susan holds degrees in medicine and surgery, and a doctorate in medicine, from the University of Melbourne. She also holds qualifications in health economics and higher education from Monash University and the University of New South Wales and is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. In 2018, Susan was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to education, including as an academic administrator, a clinician in gastroenterology and service to educational institutions in Asia-Pacific.

Mr Ross McClymont
Ross McClymont has previously served as a Board member of Monash Health between 2011 and 2017. Currently, he sits on the board of the Australian British Chamber of Commerce, and since 2015 he has been the managing partner of the Melbourne office of global law firm Ashurst. Ross practices in the areas of restructuring and insolvency, commercial disputes and corporate governance.
Ms Fiona Pearse
Fiona Pearse is a Fellow of CPA Australia, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She has extensive commercial and financial expertise gained from a broad career spanning almost two decades at large global companies BHP Billiton and BlueScope Steel. She is a non-executive director of ASX-listed Smart Parking, a pioneering developer of Smart Cities technology with international operations; Scotch College, a leading Australian boys’ school; and U Ethical, a fund manager; as well as an independent member of the Victorian Parliament Audit Committee. Her previous non-executive roles include serving as an Advisory Board member for a fintech, and as a Board member of City West Water, and World Vision Australia.

As we welcome new perspectives and expertise, we would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to departing Board members, Mr Tony Brain, Associate Professor Misty Jenkins, and Ms Robyn McLeod, for their invaluable service and years of commitment to Monash Health.
