Get in front of the flu – Times and locations for your free Influenza vaccination

Free Influenza vaccinations are now available to all Monash Health employees.

At Monash Health we expect all employees to receive their Influenza vaccine. Influenza vaccination is an easy and safe way of protecting ourselves, our patients and each other. This is especially important when there is decreased immunity toward flu in the community, according to Professor Rhonda Stuart, Director, Public Health and Infection Prevention.

“We are all mixing socially. We’re not wearing masks out in the community. This is a really important time to keep up your vaccination program.”

To help our employees receive their free flu vaccination we are offering convenient times and locations across all campuses over the next week. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and receive your flu vaccination before the wide range of locations and times become limited.

Here is where you drop in to receive your flu vaccination for the upcoming fortnight:

Please remember to bring the following items and details to your flu vaccination:

  • Mobile phone (to scan the digital consent QR code)
  • Monash Health employee ID Number
  • Medicare number or Individual Healthcare Identifiers (IHI) number.

We recommend you have your Influenza vaccination as soon as you can. It takes two weeks for immunity to develop after being vaccinated. The highest protection against influenza occurs in the first 3-4 months after your vaccination. By getting vaccinated now, you will be protected during the projected peak time of the flu season.

If you have received your vaccination somewhere else, don’t forget you must complete the online declaration form here.
