Colour for cleanliness – a new look for our Hand Hygiene Champions

We know that hand hygiene is one of our strongest protections in reducing the risk of healthcare-associated infections. Performing hand hygiene at critical moments is an important step in keeping ourselves, our patients and our colleagues safe.

To help you stay on top of best practice hand hygiene, you will soon see our Hand Hygiene Champions in neon pink vests roaming our wards and clinical areas. Our Champions (and their bright vests!) will play a vital role in highlighting the importance of vigilant hand hygiene practices, and will help you keep these practices front of mind.

You can read all you need to know about our Hand Hygiene Procedures on the employee website, and if you have any questions, our Hand Hygiene Champions are there to help. They can also provide you with feedback and education to improve compliance and help keep everyone safe.

Please keep an eye out for our brightly-coloured Hand Hygiene Champions, and if they provide you with feedback – thank them for helping us stay safe!
