An expansion of the Call a Psychologist program means entire teams will now benefit from support from skilled Monash psychologists.
The new ‘Be Well’ program is the first in a range of initiatives aimed at helping employees in this challenging period. It is in response to requests from employees for more psychological, emotional, and practical support in the workplace.
The Director of Psychology, Christine Miller, says Monash Health is committed to supporting employees.
“Be Well continues to be run by Monash Health psychologists who, as Monash Health employees, understand the organisation and the challenges facing our teams,” she says.
“Team leaders can reach out to Be Well psychologists to ask for regular wellbeing check‐ins for their team, for support following a critical event, for strategies to promote mentally healthy teams, and to facilitate team wellbeing sessions.
“If you are a manager and think your team might benefit from the program, please contact us and we can discuss how we can assist your team.”
Christine says that individual employees can talk to their managers if they feel the team could benefit from the support of the Be Well program.
Be Well is supported by the Department of Health specifically to target employee wellbeing. It is a free and confidential service.
