The Security Services Leadership Team, led by Steve Bills, Director, Security Services are the STAR Award winners in the Managing Wisely category for Q4 2021.
Today at the employee forum we were joined by Sylvia Lynch, Security Operations Manager, Simon Livesley, Security Administration Supervisor, and Robert Symonds, Security Site Supervisor, to receive the award on behalf of their team.
This category recognises an individual, group or team who actively look for ways to manage resources wisely to increase their contribution and value provided to the broader Monash Health community.
The team have been recognised for successfully managing the challenges of COVID-19 and continuing to maintain the safety and wellbeing of all Security Services teams.
Our Security Services manage all security systems and services across Monash Health. The leadership team lead a high performing group of Security Services team members, and continuously develop new ways to improve the performance of the Security Services program for the benefit of our teams and the broader organisation.
Understanding the importance of returning to work safely after illness or injury, the team facilitated a successful return to work program, in addition to providing added support, training and improving processes for all team members.
Recognising the need for employees to take a break, the team adopted new strategies to encourage employees to take leave, including through one-on-one conversations to better understand employees’ leave plans and aligning these with the needs of the team.
Through their ongoing commitment to training, development and improving processes, the leadership team have ensured the Security Services team continue to deliver an outstanding service for our employees, our patients and the community in which they protect.
